Snapdragon 690 vs Exynos 880: CPU & GPU
Starting the comparison with the CPU section, here in both SoCs you get an octa-core CPU based on 64-bit memory architecture. Speaking of Snapdragon 690, it has 2 ARM Cortex-A77 Gold Cores operating at up to 2.00GHz and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 Silver Cores running at up to 1.70GHz clock speed while the Exynos 880 features 2 ARM Cortex-A77 Performance Cores clocked at up to 2.00GHz and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 Efficiency Cores that can be operated at up to 1.80GHz clock speed.
Here the Exynos 880 has a slightly higher speed of its little cores because of which it can outperform the Snapdragon 690. So in terms of CPU processing, the Exynos 880 is a better chipset in comparison to the Snapdragon 690.
Gaming-wise, the Exynos 880 is a better chipset than the Snapdragon 690 because it has an ARM Mali-G76 GPU whereas the Snapdragon 690 integrates the Adreno 619L GPU. The Mali-G76 is a flagship-level GPU while the Adreno 619L is a mid-range level GPU.
In this section, both, Snapdragon 690 and Exynos 880 are the same. Both are fabricated on the 8nm LPP process technology, so both use the same power to boot-up.
Snapdragon 690 vs Exynos 880: Camera, Memory & Display
Moving to the camera and optics, here the Snapdragon 690 integrates the Qualcomm Spectra 355L image signal processor which is a 14 bit dual ISP and capable of handling dual camera of up to 16 + 16MP while in the case of a single camera, it can handle up to 32MP single camera with MFNR & ZSL. Without MFNR & ZSL, it can go up to 192MP.
On the other side, the Exynos 880 can support up to 20 + 20MP dual and single-camera of up to 64MP.
In the case of RAM, Snapdragon 690 supports up to 8GB dual-channel LPDDR4x RAM operating at up to 2133MHz and eMMC 5.1 or UFS 2.1 based storage.
On the other hand, the Exynos 880 supports up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM clocked at up to 1800MHz and eMMC 5.1 or UFS 2.1 based storage.
In the display section, also both SoCs are the same. Both support Full HD Plus displays with a maximum display resolution of up to 1080 x 2520p.
Connectivity-wise, both have support for 5G technology. Speaking of Exynos 880, it has 5G NR Sub-6GHz Modem which can provide a downloading speed of up to 2.55Gbps and uploading speed of up to 1Gbps.
